black as midnight on a moonless night

the owls are not what they seem

Through the darkness of future past
The magician longs to see.
One chants out between two worlds
Fire…walk with me

The White Lodge

“Once upon a time, there was a place of great goodness called the White Lodge. Gentle fawns gamboled there amidst happy, laughing spirits. The sounds of innocence and joy filled the air. And when it rained, it rained sweet nectar that infused one’s heart with a desire to live life in truth and beauty.”

The Black Lodge

There is also a legend of a place called the Black Lodge: the shadow self of the White Lodge, a place of dark forces that pull on this world. A world of nightmares. Shamans reduced to crying children, angry spirits pouring from the woods, graves opening like flowers.

– Deputy Chief Hawk Hill
